My point is that they're not "distressed". They might be understandably angry, annoyed or whatever but they're not distressed.
On balance I think the routes fine given they pass St Alphonsus from a 945 start and mass there isn't til 12 noon and the walk by St Marys starts 2 hours after mass finishes.
I don't think empty buildings are likely to be offended.
Orange walks might be an embarrassment and a nuisance but it's a slippery slope to stay bannng particular causes that the majority find disagreeable. Just now it would mean fascists, maybe Irish republican marches, etc get banned. 50 years ago maybe gay pride wouldnt have been allowed, who knows what gets banned in future if we start banning anything. |
