| Comment | A lot of folk are making blithe 'Edinburgh vs Glasgow' comments, which, while we all enjoy some 'my town is great, your town is shit' patter it's missing the point entirely.
Glasgow is the largest city in the country and its amenities are used extensively by large amounts of people outwith the city boundaries, daily, for free! Glasgow needs more money from the Scottish Government to take care of it's people and un fuck the place. It can easily do that while retaining it's character and not becoming Edinburgh. (btw, Glasgow, like many northern European cities, has HUGE plans for tourism via culture and heritage. If you think batgirl filming is inconvenient expect COP26 levels of disruption, every couple of months in the future!) |
