| Comment | Because it’s between 12-5am, there was previously 3 ambulances and if the data said they can be better utilised elsewhere that seems reasonable?
I’m aware that there’s been unprecedented pressure on the nhs and ambulances everywhere due to the pandemic and staff shortages. Long wait times aren’t unique to Glasgow. I’d rather the ambulances are utilised where the data says they should be rather than have them being idle elsewhere in the city - that would actually cut wait times if there closer to where they need to be, no?
It isn’t like they’ve made this decision on a whim, in times when there is unprecedented pressure it’s better to have the ambulances where they will be more useful. |
