| Comment | SNP good is as logically shit as SNP bad. The inability of liberals in this country to criticise their own government is frightening. The SNP have failed on several fronts. They aren't a good government, they're marginally better than the Tories and that is a low, low bar to meet.
I say this as someone who has voted for them for 10 years. I keep voting for them hoping to get independence. And I must say they won't get any more votes from me. I don't believe them any more. They aren't good enough.
It's too easy to say "but austerity and Brexit". It's too easy to say "who else will deliver independence". They still have a massive budget, they have still mismanaged it. They are still a neoliberal, pro giant corporations party. They are not left wing in any way, shape or form. And I am fucking sick of them.
The extreme partisanship and blind loyalty of supporters online genuinely frightens me. They frighten me almost as much as a Tory die hard or some frothing at the mouth Unionist. Because it's the same forces at play inside their heads. The same inability to rationally analyse what is actually happening. The same inability to criticise "their team". Just mindless tribalism of the worst order.
