When you sign up for a supplier you usually provide them with an opening reading. The supplier will provide this reading to the DC, the previous supplier will also provide your COT ( change of tenancy reading) to the DC. If they are different, the priority will be given to the reading given by the previous supplier. This is just how the process works. So look at your bill and find out what is the reading that you have been billed from. If it is different from what you provided, call Octopus and they will start a dispute for you. |
