If you got the bill directly then they've either hugely, vastly, insnely overestimated - which isn't a rare thing; they overestimate all the time, just no this badly. OR there's something/someone linked in to your supply without your knowlegde. How well do you know your neighbours?
If the landlord is telling you this, it's due to some mistake or scam on his behalf and he's trying to spread the payment/pain around.
Turn off absolutely everything and note the meter readings for a day. (not easy in February, I know) Film it if you can. |
