I hate to burst your bubble. But they are not crying out for teachers. It’s a complete myth.

Crying out for teachers if you are happy to travel, in Glasgow, only the strong survive.

Think hard and do some proper research.

Friend of mines is a primary school teacher, they were lead to believe that there’s millions of jobs, when I’m reality they are cutting back year after year.

Schools are shockingly funded, so they often have to pay for their own resources.

Parents are completely entitled & complain about the slightest thing, unwilling to accept that their child might be lying.

Add onto that, junior teachers getting treated like shit. Usually given the worst classes with very little support.

Power hungry heads or deputy heads who use a management style from the 1950s. Know your place when just in the door and pray to god that your face fits.

Long hours for shit pay, usually half the weekend goes into preparing teaching plans.

Apparently some schools arnt too bad, but chances are slim in Glasgow.

Glasgow city council often lie and move the goal post, used to be you got made permanent after 2 years, now they are back peddling on that.

If you are a newly qualified teacher at best you will get permanent supply, if you don’t have a high enough score then it’s supply. So have a plan B if you like eating & having any money.

I would do some volunteer work or go in as a classroom assistant to see if you really want to do it.

Amazingly they still like their job!
