Comment | So the rumours are that the religious museum will be kaput and that it could potentially be taken over by Historic Environments Scotland who own the Cathedral.
Cathedral is such a great spot for history etc but because it’s an operating church they’re very limited as to what they can do with it/in it. Even down to the basics of -there’s no public toilet there etc which isn’t ideal for a ‘visitor attraction’.
Personally, I’d be ok with saying goodbye to st Mungos for a museum about Glasgow’s origins etc.
Provands Lordship is owned by Glasgow Life… I could see that changing potentially but if HES buys St Mungos they will probably hold on as there will be a lot more potential for £ in that neck of town. |
