Depeche mode were good there but I think it’s because it’s big boomy noise and it’s about the music rather than the visuals.
For intimate performers like Bjork with so many people on stage doing kooky things (flute hula hoop for example) it really benefits from being up close and personal or in a traditional theatre setting so that you have a better view.
