I think you've hit the nail on the head. I go to gigs rarely now. But when I do I feel Glasgow has lost the title of being the best gigs in the world.
I went to see Ed Sheeran at the hydro and for being a sold out show I had no one near me without climbing my way towards the front of the stage. Gigs have lost their crazy atmosphere you used to feel in the dreaded Hall 4. Where people would constantly be jumping all over you.
The saddest thing being when the ABC disappeared. People you'd see in the smaller setting are likely taking the opportunity to play the big stage. |
