The weather is crap but if you dress appropriately it won't bother you as much. Everything else is magnificent. Good nightlife, great pubs, friendly people. Lots of parks and museums and so on. Trade union culture so jobs tend to be 9-5.
You'll enjoy the healthcare. You will have to pay a flat £300/year because you're not an EU citizen but that covers almost everything - including all prescription drugs. Dentistry does cost money, but is subsidised. You can just go to any pharmacy, doctor or hospital if you need to, without thinking about money or whether they're "on plan". |
