Years ago, I undertook a coding 'crash course' that was actually clearly designed for people who could already code. While others blasted through projects and homework within half an hour, I struggled to grasp the fundamentals from easily frustrated lecturers who consistently failed to convey coding concepts and take into account the amount of time I spent in the building trying to understand things, managers who put me on a support system that was basically 'read this book for children and do more work than the others' and basically either having it implied to me or directly told to me that I was incapable of doing the course. It got to the point that I was made to feel so miserable that I became genuinely suicidal with how worthless I was made to feel, dropped out and lost thousands of pounds of unrecoverable money despite being told I could use it towards future courses with that company.

Today, I'm submitting a coding project for university after being given clear, concise and consistent instruction on the fundamentals of coding and how to implement it, easy access to lecturers and tutors willing to help on both a face-to-face and digital basis and being told I was on the right track and doing a good job throughout.

I'm looking at my code and feeling proud of what I've accomplished as opposed to being in floods of tears looking at my code and feeling worthless that it wasn't work. Made me realise that I *can* actually code, that the tuition on the crash course was terrible and little more than a scam.
