Comment | I think it’s a good shout. If you use the back doors, there’s no steps to go up and there are lifts inside. Ground floor is best bet with the wee ones - full of stuffed animals including elephant and giraffe. Upper floors are mainly artwork, sculpture and paintings so maybe not as interesting. It’s got a better cafe than transport museum, but not as good baby changing - not terrible, but Transport Museum is a more modern building, so has better things like this.
It will be mobbed on the weekend, and probably through the week during school holidays - Dippy the Dinosaur skeleton is in exhibit - we went a few weeks ago and it was heaving. Might have quietened down a bit now. There’s a good playground just over the road in Kelvingrove too. Go through the gates to the park, next to the tennis courts and turn first left - it’s just behind the skate park.
As for annoying folk, it’s full of kids and family friendly. |
