Edinburgh enjoys:
- The National Museum;
- HMY Britannia
- The National War Museum;
- The National Gallery
- The National Portrait Gallery
- The National Gallery of Modern Art
All of which are paid for by the Scottish or UK governments via National Galleries/Museums Scotland or the National Historic Fleet.
Meanwhile, all of Glasgow's museums need to be funded via the local authority and Glasgow Life, despite the Riverside and the Kelvingrove being no less significant to Scotland's cultural life. |
