| Comment | It's simply that if a Museum is in Edinburgh, it is "national" by dint of being in the capital. The two exceptions are the National Museum of Rural Life, which is by East Kilbridge, and the National Museum of Flight out at East Fortune.
GCC would almost certainly resist losing control of the museums, but so what? It will save them money and undoubtedly improve the Museums. |
