The answer is NO. It is an amazing piece of art, free to see for everyone. If you sell it, it will be bought by some arab or russian oligarch who just wants to make an investment, and it would be hidden in some basement. The only way I would approve for it to be sold is if it went to Dalis museum in Figueres. But this will never happen because they dont have that type of cash.
What the GMB suggests is idiotic and very short term. This piece of art is an amazing investment and it will only go up in value. Sell it now to pay for the money now. Next time the GCC runs on deficit what you sell? It's also free and a major attraction for the museum. You can rent it now to other museums to get cash too. |
