Private landlords (i.e. via gumtree, fb marketplace, spareroom or OpenRent) are the way to go; My tenancy allows pets and I never even asked for it, they just allowed them by default, which would never happen with an agency. In general, when you're looking its probably best to ask but don't make it seem like a big deal |
