As someone who has struggled with anxiety for 30+ years (but was only diagnosed in 2015) I've learned from therapy to tune out of the things you have no control over


I remember having a near breakdown during the 2008 financial crisis. absorbed every piece of news and commentary. Was convinced the world was going to end, I would lose my job and house etc.

Post therapy, the mantra of "don't worry about what you can't control" is the thing I try to remember. I found myself slipping into old routines at the start of Covid but stopped hanging on every piece of news, and my mood improved massively.

Adopting the same approach with this Russia nonsense. If they nuke us, there's fuck all I can do
