| Comment | It's possible the drive is fine and it's the external box that's the problem. I had that exact issue with a seagate 1tb external ssd just a few months ago. Light was coming on showing it was getting power from the USB ok but PC wouldn't recognise it. Burst the box open, took the drive out and stuck it in the PC and it's still there working just fine today. Worth checking out as if you go down the data recovery route it's almost certainly going to have to come apart anyway. |
