An iPhone doesn't cost significantly more to make than phones from Huawei, Samsung, etc but they've created a higher demand in various ways over the years so can charge more for it. Diamonds are worth more than other jewels because supply is artificially limited to keep demand high enough that they're worth a premium, etc etc.
Take any rare item to an auction and its rarity adds to its value. Same with a house. |
