| Comment | Absolutely. They can only say no, and you'll still be in the same situation as you are just now. I have negotiated with a public sector job before that's funded every year, and they advised they could only go up one pay grade but it was exactly what I asked for.
Just to say: the point I have negotiated is after being formally offered the job in writing and it is usually with the line manager. |
