The organisers often need transport help too if anyone has a van and spare time. I think it's worth double checking if clothes are still needed. I was helping send one transport last weekend and we had tones of clothes, some of them summer clothes or in really bad state. Some organisations don't collect more at the moment and focus on urgent survival items, like thermal blankets, first aid kits or they collect toiletries and baby formula etc. So better check before donating clothes as this might be more hassle than help for some organisers at the moment - they also need to store it somewhere, it can be a logistical challenge. |
