Tbf it was a figure of speech but my new employer is putting in 12% I believe with no contribution from myself. My old one was 3% employer & I was putting in 7 or 8% I believe. The net effect on my pension contributions and net monthly salary was fairly minimal & I get to do a job I much prefer with a dead relaxed environment.
