>Let me make this clear - Ukraine was a peaceful country which at no point made any threats towards Russian territory. Last week, Russia unilaterally invaded them for absolutely no justifiable reason, and are currently raining missiles down on their cities. Ukrainian men, women and children are defending themselves with whatever weapons they have to hand. Not a single shot has been fired in the direction of Russian territory.

It is possible to recognise Russia as the aggressor (or at-least escalator of the conflict depending on how you feel about Minsk agreement violations), and simultaneously want the war to stop and wish the loss of life and suffering on both sides to be minimised.

>The Russian logistics are absolutely hopeless and they have failed in nearly all their initial objectives. The chances of them actually taking over Ukraine are slim. It's going to be something like the Vietnam war or Afghanstan - they'll hold some territory but ultimately will have to retreat with their tail between their legs. Albeit that might be some years from now.

Maybe you're right, but we are one week into this war, and it took the coalition 5 weeks to take Baghdad, nothing is certain apart from the fact that people are dying and cities are being destroyed.
