I am using a relatively new account because I probably revealed too much personal info on my previous username; but suffice to say I have more first-hand experience of addiction and addicts than any *ten* drug-counsellors or well-meaning spectators. There's a good reason that most 'junkies' own families and old friends, the people you'd think would care for them the most, want nothing to do with them. Some people are more susceptible to the evils that addiction brings and for many, many, people having an addition doesn't 'cause', it just 'enhances' their natural scumbagginess. |
