I don't think that's an argument for getting rid of it by any means, but it was pretty grim after I participated in a big discussion about sexual assault in this very sub and I got bombarded with Reddit's "help" (I didn't, at any point, express any sort of intention to hurt myself or anything, just to be clear), along with abusive messages tell me to kill myself. so... I'd be surprised if anything more than a small percentage of the messages sent actually go to someone who might be helped by them. |
