Anyone ever used an Electric boiler?

What with Russian Gas going to get turned off and all that, av been weighing it up. It's also a tad more environmental to go the electric route. But considering we still burn gas to make leckie, it's been weighing on me.

My boilers about 15 year old at this point, gives up the ghost every now and then, so I'm about ready to trade it in for a new one, issue is, I don't want to get it then Sturgeon bans gas next year so want to think ahead.

I can't see the UK still using gas as a main fuel source in 2040. Maybe I'm optimistic though?
