| Comment | I don't know if all shops do it but beware of stuff that's been sealed in bin bags if you do find somewhere to go. When I worked at the coop, everything getting thrown out at the end of the day (if none of the staff wanted it, depending on how lenient that shift's supervisor was) would be put into plastic bags but it's hard to tell why it was getting chucked. Could be that it's just past it's best before, could be that it was a smashed jar, could be that it was covered in maggots (a truly awful day...).
Basically just approach anything, especially the stuff you can't see, with caution haha |
