There is if it doesn’t add up, I’m aware of the situation also. There were very few suppliers (who are still trading) offering more than one year fixed tariffs last winter so most fixed term contracts will roll off this winter and those customers will be affected anyway. Any who did more than a one year fix charged absolutely eye watering premiums. Although I don’t necessarily agree with the price cap, I doubt they’d do anything during the crisis as it would generate backlash and create even more fear. I’m not saying no one should fix, but do the maths, for me it absolutely wasn’t worth while.
