| Comment | Allocated social workers are like gold dust so it is already excellent news that your mum has one. They can probably do the assessment for personalisation themselves - as I said in another post, people can wait ages for an assessment. Once that's done, it's half the battle. Another source of funding and support is your local carer's team, I see someone else has mentioned this. You can self-refer via the form on the GCC website.
