| Comment | Sure, but that’s actually a case in point: I moved from the north west of England (we had moved there from the south a few years back).
I didn’t work from home, in fact my last job was in retail.
Husband’s last job was cleaning.
What we got for our house in England was nowhere near what we needed to get for a place here.
Couldn’t get a job for ages so I tried my hand at virtual assistant, which didn’t work out anyway, I never even got paid - so it wasn’t the “working from home” type of thing with a London salary in a cheaper location.
So dig a little deeper and it’s very possible that a lot of these cases of people moving from down south throwing money around are not what it seems.
Not saying that those cases don’t exist, but a bit context explains a lot of things. |
