Whatever you do, resist the temptation to take out a payday loan or similar. They can look like easy options but get you into a death spiral of debt.

A normal credit card or bank overdraft could be a sensible option if you're needing to tide yourself over until the first paycheque arrives. But given the circumstances, some of the other support available may be better than getting into any kind of debt.

It might be worth asking for extra hours / shifts at work. You don't need to divulge the full situation, just say "I've had a few unexpected expenses at home so could do with bringing in some extra cash" and could help you dig yourself out of the hole a bit quicker.
