Also, might be worthwhile popping into your local housing Association, even if you're not a tenant and asking if you can speak to someone from Welfare rights. I worked in housing for years and we'd often get private tenants coming in looking for advise and those guys were always happy to help and ensure that you are actually getting all the money you are entitled to to help with utility bills.

Reaching out like this is often the best thing to do, as it gives you a bit of reassurance and highlights a couple of avenues you weren't previously aware. All the best mucker.
