I lived in the east end for a few years and it was a lovely place to live (just wanted to point that out 🤣). For your situation though, no point moving to east end. I agree with Jaquetpotato, Southside is ideal.
I currently live in cardonald, close to QEU and Paisley Road west gives an almost straight road right into the city centre.
