Within the first few shots of him I was getting serious Aleister Crowley vibes and what you then went on to say confirmed it. He was pretty infamous as an occultist and was all about sex and magic/k - I’d say your man is a definite follower of him. The ‘shock’ value side of creepy to almost laughable also makes me see the Crowley link - he was a master of promotion and knew being talked about in any way led to more followers etc (& this was early to mid 1900’s - from memory think he died in the 60s)
Anyhoo think one of the most interesting parts is how this all began for you… what was his intention of showing you and your friends the video? I reckon gauging your reaction to see if you were interested in starting a wee cult with him haha |
