| Comment | Yeah I'd try this OP. I had a similar neighbour who was housebound with a whole load of health conditions, and yes, a busybody. She was scunnered with the amount of flats that were bought and sold over the last few years, a few of the flats changed hands twice in two years and it really stressed her out. For folk like me and you, you just accept it as part of tenement life, but she'd been there something like 25+ years and took it quite hard.
However. Agree you should try and build up a bit of a relationship and be the bigger person to begin with anyway. Obviously get some rugs and wear slippers etc, give her a heads up when work is being done and see how it goes, if she's gonna be a cunt despite that then keep track of your interactions so you're covered. If she's reporting every instance of noise to the police/council/MPs she's probably wasting their fucking time. |
