Comment | The village I went to school in had a big brutalist structure at its centre. Tearing it down was fantastic. It was like a big grey cloud that had been hovering over the place for decades was finally lifted.
There are some brutalist structures worth saving sure, but architecturally it’s so bloody depressing when it dominates the hub of a community. When it’s town centres, police stations, govt offices, it feels a bit like living in a dystopian novel. Its oppressive, and ugly. |
