good luck. prepare to pay 6months to a year upfront, especially as a foreigner if you have no family that could act as a guarantor in the UK. that's even if you get the place. the market is horrendous right now and many won't let to students especially if you're only guaranteed a year here. I'd honestly look for a room on spare room instead of trying to find a place alone. less stressful and hopefully you can chat with people and get not only a flatmate, but a friend!
as far as dressing up goes, no one cares! just be you. enjoy what Glasgow has to offer. don't worry about fitting in with how you dress on a night out here. as a someone from there other side of the pond, I'm still a bit shocked at the spray tans and heavy makeup some of the young ones wear here, but I've been told I'm 'fit' as I am🤷🏾♀️ |
