With your salary you'd be taking home £1350;

My rent + council tax + utilities are currently about £950 a month in Kelvingrove; if you budgeted food very carefully could probably get by on about £120/month for that, giving you £280 leftover, assuming you don'thave a car and walk to work. It's doable but you'd have to be careful and not go out much. And energy bills are about to go up significantly in April, so that'll wipe out a decent chunk of the leftover
