I don’t know if there’s a rule, but I’d say in Troon’s case it swings towards the latter where there’s a wealthier pool donating and also quite a high percentage of retired folk who are more likely to casually browse. In other places, like in terms of the charity shops somewhere like Partick, they’ve all been going for years but have become much more trendy in the last 5 or so.

Now I think of it, most charity shops in a wide range of areas seem to have been there a long time compared to other privately leased shops around them.
