We felt the same can be a balancing act as you don't want to pay too much over the odds for something you know is overpriced. You also run the risk of losing money with correction drop in price long term this won't matter.

We looked at place in New Gorbals went 20k over asking was already at higher end. So we decided to look further out. Actually all properties we looked at before Cambuslang went above asking price substantially. But that was during the height pandemic.

Sure we spent 10k on kitchen, bathroom but we never spent more than we could budget for so we have savings, investment ect.
