Visit the doctors and ask them to take a stool sample which will indicate which type pathogen you have been infected with and contact the Environmental Health dept. If investigated they ask for a history of foods you have eaten prior to becoming ill. Different pathogens have different incubation periods but most food pathogens take between 12 and 72 hours to take effect. In the meantime dry toast and diarolyte or similar can help.
