| Comment | I lasted 3 months driving from Glasgow to Leith every day for my first job out of uni. Mon-Fri, I didn't have a life aside from getting up, driving to the office, work, driving home from the office, eating dinner and then sleeping.
Due to road works at the time, I was sometimes spending 5hrs a day in the car. By the time it got to Thurs/Fri, it wasn't uncommon to stop at Harthill on the way home, for a 30 min power nap.
Weekends were spent catching up on sleep and looking for a new job after two months of doing that commute. I was living to work, rather than working to live. |
