I was in a pub for the Old Firm just after New Years on 2021. Neutral pub, mostly Celtic fans. My group of 4 were one of two small Rangers groups, rest of the pub hoaching with Celtic fans.

Rangers won 2-1, we celebrated and had no aggro off anyone in the pub at all.

The derby isn't as violent as it's portrayed to be. If you come on r/Glasgow and believe 90% of people here, you can't go to the town on Old Firm day without getting stabbed. Aye, there are outliers, but if you take 60,000 people and mix in drink at any event, there's going to be violence. Check out T in the Park, ffs.

I'm 34 and have been an avid Rangers supporter my entire life and have never seen any trouble related to football myself. Anecdotal? Of course, but I've hung about in plenty of neutral and Rangers pubs on game days and have never once seen a bit of trouble myself.
