Bus services from Union St (east side of central station):
6 service towards East Kilbride, get off at Battlefield Rd/Langside College and walk ahead for 2 mins to arrive at the West stand of the stadium
75 service towards Castlemilk, get off at the stop for Hampden Park and arrive directly opposite the east stand of the stadium.
X31 special event service - cash or card only no cards accepted.
Railway: trains from Central to Mount Florida. Usually extra event trains running.
Taxis: Plenty will be available across the city to get to the event.
Walk: if its a nice night. Recommend you follow Stockwell St, Gorbals St, Cathcart Rd. Practically a straight walk all the way, will take about 45-60 mins. It has some minor inclines.
Returning to the city centre:
Railway will be busy, expect long queues.
Roads will be jam packed so taxis will be hit or miss and may be expensive.
Best bet for a bus is at the ‘Hampden Park and Ride’ bus stances on the east side of the stadium off of Aitkenhead Rd. 75 service or the X31 event buses.
Or again if it is a nice night, walking back from the stadium may be a decent option. |
