Tickets are released in blocks, they first release a block of cheap advanced tickets, once those sell out they release a block of more expensive tickets, and so on. So, the longer you wait (or the faster those cheap tickets sell out) the more you'll have to pay.

However it's also not unheard of for the website to track your visits, identify when you're a return visitor and present higher prices because they assume if you've returned to the site you need to make the trip. Doesn't happen everywhere but it does happen. You can prevent any of that by using incognito mode on your browser when you buy your tickets.

If all else fails, talk to your bosses. I assume that you're a remote worker who needs to come into the office once a week (since otherwise the company should be paying your travel), if you tell them that the cost of the commute has increased 300% and you can no longer afford the trip, they might be able to offer you travel expenses or find a way for you to not have to come in once a week.
