I know the feeling, yeah! Good luck with trying to bring the dog here, hopefully it won't be too difficult (or too expensive). Another you might want to look into is flying the dog to either France or The Netherlands so the dog doesn't have to fly as cargo - currently doing this and it's cut the cost of bringing my dog here in half.
