>Sure, i’ll accept that Glasgow has disproportionately received worse budget cuts compared to other Scottish Cities, but not UK ones.

That just isn't true, councils in cities all over the UK have seen their budgets eroded,. I can't remember the instances of the top of my head, but there have been councils that have declared bankruptcy in England, so it's not just a Glasgow problem, it's a problem all over Britain.

>I’m finding it really hard to blame Austerity purely when they can somehow find £150,000 in the budget for “filming incentive schemes”. Sure, the money spent by production is going back into our economy but the council only received around £35,000 back over almost 10 years which is ridiculous.

Are you referring to the filming of bat girl etc? I don't particularly have a problem with that and it's not a case of one or other, they're not choosing to film Bat Girl and shut down hostels, the hostels were going to be shut irregardless of batgirl filming here. And you're right, it is the poorest areas that suffer and Austerity is the main driver behind that, there's no debate around that.

>I can’t confidently say anymore that the SNP are a party of the people.

I'm not entirely sure they ever where. They appealed to people like me for a period as a staunch left winger because they filled a gap where Labour should have been but I don't think thats their instincts.

>It’s obvious the people in power in Glasgow are inept. You can’t just celebrate the SNP for every success and then point to Westminster for every failure, that’s just not how it works.

You might well be right on this regarding their ineptitude and theirs plenty to support that theory, but I am becoming more and more convinced that the models of Local Government in this country have completely failed, I don't think local government in this country works anymore. How we fix that, I don't know, but the one thing we could certainly do is provide our council with the budgets and resources they require to deliver a decent service to residents.
