I live near Shawlands and pay towards GCC. The folks I know in Giffnock do not pay towards GCC but work in the city. There is a difference.
That the council may have its budgetary priorities backwards in you opinion is a separate matter to that budget being squeezed for various reasons - one of which I highlighted.
