Comment | When it goes live it will be a similar system to London with daily and weekly capped fares. When you get on you will tap on with the driver, and tap off on the reader. It is in your interest to tap off, because if you don’t, it will charge you for travelling all the way to the terminus.
Example if a single journey is £2, the daily cap is £5 and the weekly cap is £15
Two journeys a day will charge £4 to your card on days 1/2/3, on the 4th day £3 where it hits the weekly cap of £15, and on day 5/6/7 nothing because you hit the weekly cap on day 4.
3 journeys per day would charge £5 on day 1/2/3 until you hit the cap. |
